ABOUT US

Birmingham's Little Theatre is a public organisation founded in 2018. Theatre goals are high-value achievements and the personal growth of each participant. The performances are scheduled to be played both in Latvian and English.


The theatre is honoured to carry the name of Latvian theatre scientist Līvija Akurātere. 

The theatre's artistic director is director Ingmars Caklais.The theater also runs a youth studio.

The theater repertoire currently features Hermanis Paukšs “Chir, Chir!” and Slavomir Mrozek’s “Out At Sea.”


The theatre organises open masterclasses, participates in theatre festivals both in Unitred Kingdom, Latvia and elsewhere in the world, maintains close ties and friends with like-minded theatres.

Birmingham's little Theatre is a founder of the Latvian Theatre Association in Britain and the World Latvian amateur Theatre Union (PLATS), as well as a Member of the national Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) in Britain.
